Angry Birds Fly into the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show with GEAR4
GEAR4 puts the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Las Vegas under an Angry Birds attack, January 6th through 9th
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GEAR4 (www.GEAR4.com), the UK iPod/iPhone audio brand and case manufacturer, swoops into the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show with its recently-released line of Angry Birds-themed protective cases for the iPhone 4 and iPod touch.
GEAR4 is flocking to the US with the introduction of new products during CES. As Angry Birds sweeps the nation as the best-selling mobile game, GEAR4 has jumped on the popularity and developed Angry Birds-themed protective cases. Compatible with iPhone 4 and iPod touch, the new hard plastic cases are decorated with Angry Birds characters, available in three designs – Red Bird, Yellow Bird and Pig King.
“CES is the perfect venue to show everyone what’s in store for 2011,” said Tom Dudderidge, CEO of GEAR4. “With the launch of new products, our new office in the US and the hiring of key senior executives, GEAR4 is perched to take over the US market.”
The Angry Bird cases won’t nest at just any hotel, so GEAR4 will take over two suites at the Mandarin Oriental, the exceptional luxury 47-story hotel located at the center of the energized Strip and the forefront of the City Center complex. GEAR4 will be showcasing its wide range of products, including the new Angry Birds cases and the highly anticipated UnityRemote – which turns any iPhone or iPod touch into a universal remote control, without requiring any dongles or cases.
Additional new items being unveiled by GEAR4 at CES will include PocketLoops, an innovative app-enabled accessory that lets iPod and iPhone users mix their own music, as well as new app-integrated speaker systems with features for controlling speaker functions, including the alarm clock and FM tuner.
In addition to having a tremendous presence at CES, GEAR4 is formally establishing itself in the States with a new office in El Segundo, California and the upcoming availability of its US product line. Consumers can find product images and information, with an e-commerce component coming soon, at the recently-launched US site, us.GEAR4.com.
