First-Ever Industry Event Launches in January 2013
LAS VEGAS, July 31, 2012 - As an extension of a three-phase plan to transform its World Market Center in Las Vegas into the preeminent gift and home marketplace in the Western United States, International Market Centers (IMC) has partnered with Eller Enterprises to produce a first-of-its-kind executive conference for the Gift and Home industry. The two-day event taking place the last two days of the Winter 2013 Las Vegas Market, will offer compelling programming and networking opportunities for invited participants.
Content, which is geared towards Owners, CEOs, and Presidents of Gift and Home businesses, will address financial, operational and global issues impacting individual operations, as well as the industry overall. Subjects will include the effects of the China economy and Euro crisis to the Gift and Home industry, acquisition strategies, preparing a company for sale, building corporate culture, global economy and other topical issues impacting the U.S. Gift and Home marketplace.

Plans will transform the market for gift and home décor in Las Vegas and will afford buyers and sellers new opportunities in the gift and home channel. Phase One begins in 2013 with the repositioning of existing Las Vegas Market resources to refine and enrich category presentations, and the introduction of new categories. Phases Two and Three will feature expansion of Home Décor resources to include specialty Home Textiles and the introduction of Gourmet, Kitchenware and Casual Tabletop.
