G. Romano Inc. Signs Permanent Leases at Las Vegas Market and International Home Furnishings Center in High Point
Company Head Says Mergers of Properties in High Point and Las Vegas has Created 'Progressive and Energetic Experience’ for Exhibitors and Buyers
HIGH POINT, N.C. and LAS VEGAS (July 16, 2012) – International Market Centers, L.P. (IMC) proudly announces that G. Romano Inc., a family owned and operated manufacturer of contemporary upholstery and quality home furnishings, has signed permanent leases at both World Market Center Las Vegas and the International Home Furnishings Center in High Point, N.C.
Citing shows that have been consistently positive for their brand, Rick Lovegrove, who runs the company with his wife Natalina, said “A combination of elements has allowed us to commit to permanent showrooms. With a fashion-driven product such as ours, we always have new introductions, colors and fabrics. A larger permanent space will allow us to show these new products along with existing collections. Our dealers needed to see more of us at market.”
In Las Vegas, the company’s new 2,000-sqaure-foot showroom will be located in Building B, Suite 701, on the Modern Trends floor and will make its showroom debut at the 2012 Summer Las Vegas Market, July 30 – Aug. 3, 2012. The company had been showing in the home furnishings temporaries at Las Vegas Market since 2006. In High Point, the company has renewed its existing showroom space at D708 in the International Home Furnishings Center building.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Lovegrove added that the new Las Vegas showroom will incorporate some vintage elements including framed photography of founder Gino Romano and some shots of the company’s Montreal factory. The company also will debut new upholstery collections and new fabrics.
Lovegrove also said the merger of IMC properties in High Point and Las Vegas has been a positive move that has helped companies like his reach a greater audience.
“We’re not a big corporation, but a family owned, design-oriented manufacturer,” Lovegrove said. “But, at the same time we bring great product to market and IMC sees value in our type of company and has welcomed us with a lot of support.”
