Hearst Magazines Expands the Esquire Home Collection
New Line Extensions Unveiled at High Point
New York (October 3, 2011) – Hearst Magazines, in collaboration with licensing partner The Halo Group, is expanding the highly successful Esquire Home Collection with new offerings. The new pieces, along with the existing collection, will be showcased at the High Point International Home Furnishings Market, October 22nd - 27th, 2011 in the Four Hands showroom located in Union Square, suites E201 and P202.
The new introductions offer even more versatility and the opportunity to transform any space, large or small, to reflect the Esquire lifestyle,” said Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of Hearst Brand Development.
Highlights of the new introductions include modified versions of some of the collection’s top sellers:
The Martini Strap Armchair introduces warmth and a more casual aesthetic to a room through the use of an oak wood frame and saddle nut leather while the Martini Strap Two Seater is an expanded version of the original polished steel frame design.
Inspired by the original yet a bit more compact, the Manhattan Small Bar Trunk is as appealing to the eyes as it is functional – with designated compartments for liquor, wine, glasses and tumblers.
The Commodore Three Seater is our response to the enthusiasm for the Commodore Chair, expanded into a sofa version. Its wool reinforced with signature loden leather and stud detailing calls to mind a masculine sophistication any man would want to own.
“When Four Hands introduced the Esquire Home Collection we received a tremendous reaction to the more unique and cutting edge designs,” said Matthew Briggs, CEO and President of Four Hands. “The new introductions at High Point play off the star performers and will round out the collection nicely.”
New introductions also include the Esquire Art Collection by Trowbridge. For the first time ever, select illustrations and photographs from Esquire’s vast archives have been reproduced to create this unique offering. Delivering the finishing touches for the home of any modern man, select works will be on display in the Four Hands Showroom.
For close to 80 years, Esquire has helped its readers understand and navigate the world – from style and great design to women and politics. Esquire has set a standard, and the new furniture collection is a natural extension of that mission. With men’s increased influence on home purchase decisions, the concept behind Esquire Home is more relevant than ever.
